The sun falls faster in the valley; the mountain peaks reaching up with stone hands to cradle the colours of sunset as bright as summer fruits in the darkening sky, and yet, as Anther turns his eyes to the whispering winds, he isn’t met with the urge to climb to the tallest peak and watch that last of the light leave the skies.
Not when the one that he has longed to be by his side is beside him now.
